Ever get one of those refrigerated cans of cinnamon rolls only to realized that, while they may be easy to make, they still need to bake for 20 minutes. That means waking up early, pre heating the oven, baking the cinnamon rolls and waiting…waiting….waiting….So what if I told you that you could make those cinnamon rolls in less than 5 minutes? All you need is your handy dandy waffle maker!

So what do you have to do to make these magical cinnamon roll waffles?  Okay, so calling this a cinnamon roll waffle recipe is kind of a cheat.  That’s because you simply buy a roll of the refrigerated cinnamon roll dough, heat up your waffle maker and grease it up if needed (if you have a great non stick waffle iron like the Hamilton Beach Flip Belgian Waffle Maker, no need to grease the plates!).  Then, place one cinnamon roll right in the center of the hot waffle iron, close the waffle maker and let the cinnamon rolls cook for about 3-4 minutes. (You should easily be able to fit that in your morning routine!). The cinnamon rolls will turn beautifully golden brown when they are ready and smell absolutely amazing. Make the Icing Special

Okay, for those of you who want detailed instructions, here they are!

Ingredients:

  • One can of refrigerated cinnamon rolls
  • Icing packet from the cinnamon roll can
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Directions:

  • Remove the cinnamon rolls from the can and separate them into individual rolls.
  • Place one cinnamon roll in the center of the waffle iron and close.
  • Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown.
  • Remove from the waffle iron and place on a plate.
