How to Make Cinnamon Roll Waffles

This cinnamon roll waffle recipe is easy to make and will delight your palette. In what follows, I will show you how to make cinnamon roll waffles that don’t take all morning. You will wonder why you never thought of this before!

A Creative Use for Your Waffle Maker!

Ever get one of those refrigerated cans of cinnamon rolls only to realized that, while they may be easy to make, they still need to bake for 20 minutes. That means waking up early, pre heating the oven, baking the cinnamon rolls and waiting…waiting….waiting….So what if I told you that you could make those cinnamon rolls in less than 5 minutes? All you need is your handy dandy waffle maker!

So what do you have to do to make these magical cinnamon roll waffles?  Okay, so calling this a cinnamon roll waffle recipe is kind of a cheat.  That’s because you simply buy a roll of the refrigerated cinnamon roll dough, heat up your waffle maker and grease it up if needed (if you have a great non stick waffle iron like the Hamilton Beach Flip Belgian Waffle Maker, no need to grease the plates!).  Then, place one cinnamon roll right in the center of the hot waffle iron, close the waffle maker and let the cinnamon rolls cook for about 3-4 minutes. (You should easily be able to fit that in your morning routine!). The cinnamon rolls will turn beautifully golden brown when they are ready and smell absolutely amazing. And that’s how to make cinnamon roll waffles!

Make the Icing Special

Of course no cinnamon roll, or cinnamon roll waffle, is complete without some icing.  While cinnamon rolls usually come with icing, I like to make it even better. Since we are making cinnamon roll waffles, you really want more of a syrup than an icing. Place the cinnamon roll icing in a small bowl and whisk in the milk, maple syrup and powdered sugar. Drizzle the syrup over the cinnamon roll waffles when they are hot out of the waffle maker. So good…

A combination of a cinnamon roll and a waffle- how could you possibly go wrong? The fact that this can all be made in under 5 minutes and in your waffle maker is just icing on the cake – or more like syrup on the waffle! Give this recipe a try immediately and you will never make cinnamon rolls in the oven again. Find the best waffle maker for you here because now you have even more reasons to invest in a nice new waffle maker!
